Privacy Policy
Overview
This site is a personal portfolio for Bhavik Upadhyay. It does not sell products, require account creation, or collect personal information through forms. A small number of third-party tools are used to understand how the site is performing and who is visiting it. This page explains what those tools collect and why.
Visitor identification — RB2B
This site uses RB2B (rb2b.com), a service that attempts to identify US-based website visitors by matching their IP address against a database of LinkedIn profiles and company records. If a match is found, RB2B notifies the site owner with the visitor's inferred name, company, and LinkedIn profile URL.
RB2B operates on US traffic only. No data from international visitors is sent to RB2B. RB2B's own privacy policy is available at rb2b.com/privacy-policy. To opt out of RB2B tracking, visit rb2b.com/optout.
Analytics — Vercel Analytics
This site uses Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregate, anonymised data including page views, country of origin, device type, browser, and referring URL. No personally identifiable information is stored. Data is processed by Vercel Inc. in accordance with their privacy policy.
Performance monitoring — Vercel Speed Insights
This site uses Vercel Speed Insights to collect Core Web Vitals (page load times, layout shift scores, interactivity metrics). This data is aggregate and anonymised. No user identifiers are attached to performance data.
Cookies
This site sets one first-party cookie: theme, which stores your light/dark mode preference. It contains no personal data and is not shared with any third party.
Data retention and your rights
This site does not directly store visitor data. Data held by third-party services (RB2B, Vercel) is subject to their respective retention policies. If you have questions or requests regarding your data, contact bkupadhy@usc.edu.
